Each year, Barrie ARC volunteers provide assistance for the Canadian Cancer Society's Run For the Cure.

This year the run is being held on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Centennial Park, Barrie. Based on previous years, opening ceremonies usually occur around 9:20 am local with the run starting at 10:00 am local. It is usually wrapped by 12:00 noon local. Barrie ARC volunteers should arrive 9:00 am local to allow for safety briefing and location assignments along the route.

Equipment required is a safety vest, a fully charged hand held VHF radio, water bottle and in some cases a chair.
