Acurite has released a temperature and humidity sensor with lightning detection. The Acurite 6045M can detect lightning within a 25 mile (40 km) range. We have placed an order to test the device with QRUQSP.
They have also release the Acurite Portable Lightning Detector, which does NOT transmit on 433.92Mhz and will not be integrated into QRUQSP.
Update Aug 2019: The software RTL_433 detects and decodes the lightning detector. We will need to update the software to store the lightning information. This has been added to our roadmap.
